This evening around 6pm, I went up near Times Square to the Parsons fashion building to sit in on a lecture from the CEO of IDEO. It was very interesting to hear his insights on the design industry today and how he thinks design thinking should be more integrated into everyday life. After leaving the lecture, in true New Yorker style, I'd thought i'd brave the cold, early-fall weather and WALK the 35 blocks or so home. I made it 10 blocks and one Starbuck's before I gave up and hopped on a subway. Although I didn't make it all the way, I definitely felt like a New Yorker.
