Not in the mood to do homework, I decided I would treat myself to a movie night by myself. It was strange going out to a movie solo but it honestly was nice to be alone for once. In a city where there are people all around you, it's very rare to get those moments of isolation you need every once in a while. Tonight, I got this moment while walking the 16 blocks from my dorm to the theatre and back. The movie itself was very good and reminded of of Paris, je t'aime. They were probably made by the same people. What I liked about it was it reminded me of why I love New York so much: those little moments where you really feel alive, those chance encounters with strangers on the street, an instant in time you know will never happen again. I can't wait to experience all that the city has in store for me in these coming years.
